Turnkey Wastewater Treatment for a Global Manufacturer

Feb 18, 2022

Manufacturing high-quality plumbing fixtures requires precision at every step, including how wastewater is treated. One of the world’s largest faucet manufacturers, consistently ranked the No. 1 faucet brand in North America, needed a reliable wastewater treatment solution to comply with industrial discharge regulations while supporting ongoing production.

The project required more than installing equipment. It called for a custom-engineered system designed around the facility's unique manufacturing processes and wastewater characteristics.

JMark designed and delivered a turnkey wastewater treatment solution that helps the manufacturer meet environmental requirements while maintaining dependable operations.

The Challenge

Metal finishing operations can generate complex wastewater streams that require multiple treatment processes before water can be safely discharged.

For this manufacturer, the solution needed to treat wastewater containing regulated metals while integrating several treatment technologies into one reliable, efficient system. Just as important, the system had to support continuous manufacturing operations while consistently meeting industrial wastewater discharge requirements.

The project required:

  • Treatment of wastewater generated during metal finishing operations
  • Removal of regulated contaminants, including copper, nickel and hexavalent chromium
  • Multiple treatment processes working together as one integrated system
  • Reliable clarification and solids separation
  • Consistent compliance with industrial wastewater discharge regulations
  • Dependable performance to support ongoing production

The Solution

JMark engineered a turnkey 200 GPM wastewater treatment system tailored to the facility’s specific operating requirements. The integrated solution combines cyanide oxidation, hexavalent chromium reduction, heavy metal hydroxide precipitation and laminar flow gravity settling clarification into one coordinated treatment process.

By evaluating the complete wastewater stream and designing each treatment stage to work together, JMark delivered a system engineered for reliable operation, efficient treatment and long-term performance.

Like every JMark project, the solution was developed around the customer's process rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

The Impact

No two wastewater treatment challenges are exactly alike. Manufacturing processes, water chemistry and discharge requirements vary from facility to facility, requiring solutions built around the complete system.

JMark partners with manufacturers like this one to understand their operations first. Then our team designs practical, custom-engineered water treatment solutions that support compliance, operational performance and long-term reliability.

The completed system helped the manufacturer:

  • Reliably treat wastewater generated during production
  • Consistently meet industrial wastewater discharge requirements
  • Integrate multiple treatment processes into one engineered solution
  • Support continuous manufacturing with dependable system performance
  • Build a foundation for long-term operational and regulatory confidence
